IconContainer is my personal project focused on the creation and cataloging of digital assets in the form of premium isometric 3D icons and objects. As the sole creator, I was fully responsible for the entire workflow, ranging from visual conceptualization and 3D modeling in software to detailed rendering, texturing, and asset optimization. I then developed the proprietary website/library (as seen in the mockup) to serve as an efficient, user-friendly catalog, ensuring users can quickly search and download the high-resolution assets they need for UI/UX design, marketing materials, and presentations across diverse categories such as transportation, professional tools, and fashion.
Design & Production Process.
This project involved a challenging end-to-end workflow, from initial concept to website deployment:
Conceptualization & Categorization:
Identifying a market gap for high-quality, niche 3D icons.
Defining the visual style (isometric with soft shading and realistic textures) to ensure consistency across the entire collection.
3D Modeling & Texturing:
Using 3D software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D—mention the software you used) to model each object from scratch.
Applying detailed texture painting and shading to impart depth and premium quality.
Rendering & Asset Optimization:
Executing the rendering process with consistent lighting to produce high-resolution final images (transparent PNGs).
Optimizing file sizes to ensure assets can be loaded quickly in users' applications or websites.
Website Development:
Designing and developing the IconContainer website (as seen in the screenshot) to function as the catalog.
Implementing an efficient search function (
Search icons...) so users can quickly find the objects they need from hundreds of available assets.
